EDF: cuts forecast for electricity production
(CercleFinance.com) - This morning, EDF made a statement that the French Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) issued a note on the problems of welding elements supplied by Framatome encountered in several of its reactors.
The energy company, whose capital is largely controlled by the State (nearly 84%), firstly emphasizes that the reactors concerned can continue to operate. However, due to the extension of maintenance periods and unplanned outages, EDF has reduced its electricity production forecast for 2019 fo its reactors from 395 TWh to 390 TWh.
However, EDF confirms its financial forecasts for 2019 and 2020.
