EDF: finalises acquisition of Luxel group
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF Renouvelables announces that it has acquired the Luxel group, a solar energy player in France that has a portfolio of one gigawatt peak, formed of fleets that are already in operation and projects that are ready to be built or which are under development.
This acquisition will contribute to reaching the targets of the Plan Solaire, which aims to make the incumbent electricity group the leader in photovoltaics in France, with a 30% market share of this sector between 2020 and 2035.
EDF Renewables reached a gross capacity of 320 MWp of photovoltaic capacity in operation in France, spread over more than 100 installations, and has increased its portfolio of photovoltaic projects under development by approximately 900 MWp gross.
