EDF: PPA for windfarm project in India
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF Renewables and SITAC Group, its wind energy partner in India, announce the signature of a long-term electricity sales contract (PPA) for the 300 MW wind power project recently won from the Government of India.
The energy generated by the future wind farm will be sold to SECI, an institution of the Indian Ministry, as part of a 25-year PPA. Electricity generation will cover the annual clean electricity needs of over 1.3 million Indians.
The development, construction, financing and asset management of this wind project are provided by SITAC Management & Development, a joint venture between EDF Renouvelables and SITAC. The wind farm will begin to be built in 2019.
