EDF: milestone in implementation of Ecocombust
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF announces that after a meeting held on 24 January, it approved with the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition a work schedule prior to a decision on the Ecocombust project.
The electricity group points out that Ecocombust consists in manufacturing an innovative and ecological fuel enabling the operation of heating or electrical production facilities currently using coal.
This program will qualify, by autumn this year, the technical tests, environmental impact studies and the business model of the project. By this time, EDF will begin the industrialisation phase for fuel fabrication from 2022.
