EDF: contract with metropolis of Nice for two subsidiaries

(CercleFinance.com) - EDF today announces that two of the group's subsidiaries, Citelum/Izivia, have signed a contract with the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis for the extension and operation of its network of charging stations for electric vehicles, for a period of two years, which may be renewed.

280 terminals of the “Autobleue” network will be upgraded with new-generation plugs allowing all types of electric vehicles to be recharged. 73 additional charging stations will also be installed, bringing the entire network to a total of 500 charging points, which will provide a complete network of the 49 towns of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis. By the end of 2019, the number of fast charging stations will be tripled, 20 charging terminals will be installed semi-fast and 15 new terminals will be installed in the relay car parks, next to tram stations, EDF said.

Under this contract, Izivia will be responsible for the network's supervision and technical operation, the establishment of the charging service for users via the creation of a web platform and a mobile app, in addition to relations with users. Citelum will be in charge of the monitoring and maintenance of charging stations, as well as the deployment of additional charging stations.
