EDF: takes stake in energy firm in Togo
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF announced on Friday evening that it has taken a 50% stake in BBOXX Togo, a "new generation" energy firm, which, as its name says, is found in Togo.
This association steps up the deployment of the electrification scheme implemented by the Togolese government, and aims to develop and market solutions to access "off-grid" electricity on the Togolese market.
"In addition to the investment required to speed up deployment of the solar home systems, the EDF Group will also provide its technical know-how to improve battery performance. EDF will bring its commercial resources and its experience in developing off-grid solutions in several African countries to the joint venture," EDF said.
