EDF: continues controls of Flamanville EPR
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF has announced that, based on investigations it has carried out, exchanges with the Nuclear Safety Authority will continue for a few more weeks, to control the completion of certain welds of the main secondary circuit of the Flamanville EPR.
On 10 April, EDF declared to the Nuclear Safety Authority a significant event relating to the detection of discrepancies in the control of the completion of certain welds on the main secondary circuit. Thereafter it initiated an examination to analyse the causes and nature of these discrepancies.
The consequences on the schedule and, if necessary, on the cost of the Flamanville 3 project, will be specified by this date.
