EDF: signs global responsible employer agreement
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday evening, EDF announced that earlier in the day it signed a new global responsible employer agreement, covering human and labour rights.
This agreement covers all of EDF's businesses in 24 countries. It is hence aiming to guarantee the development of a common social base for the group's 160,000 employees, whilst consolidating international social dialogue.
"[With this agreement], the Group is reiterating its commitment to the balanced development of its activities around the world. Human rights, diversity, health and safety, skills development and social protection for the company's employees and subcontractors form the foundations of this commitment," said Jean-Bernard Lévy, EDF's Chairman and CEO.
