EDF: Jefferies bets on a recovery in atomic production
(CercleFinance.com) - The US research firm Jefferies still recommends investors buy the EDF share, stating that the French energy company has a positive outlook for nuclear energy production.
The broker maintains its target price for the share at 15 euros, representing upside potential of around 50% relative to the share's current price.
"In our view," its research report states ahead of 2017 accounts, which are due on 16 February, "EDF is likely to re-affirm a strong rebound in French nuclear output this year."
Finally, EDF "would benefit substantially from mark-to-market benefits from higher power prices after 2018," argues a note.
