EDF: company reactions to several 'revelations'
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF wishes to react this morning following the announcement in the press of the forthcoming publication of a "survey book" that will present a number of "revelations" on the nuclear industry.
The group emphasizes that the majority of details presented in the article published in the Journal du Dimanche has already been known for a long time and has been the subject of transparent communication - both the Nuclear Safety Authority and the public.
However, the facts that have been presented as new are actually false (for example: bottom-of-tank penetrations, the list of the tanks presented as weakened by cracks that are similar those of the Belgian defects, or the way the controls would have been practiced over time on the tanks of the French nuclear park, EDF's management said.
EDF points out that nuclear safety is its top priority.
