EDF: signature of final agreements with Areva
(CercleFinance.com) - The French Ministry for the Economy and Finance announced last Saturday the signature of the final agreements between EDF and Areva SA for the sale to the electricity company of the majority stake of up to 75.
5% of the capital of 'New NP'.
This entity combines industrial activities, design and supply of nuclear reactors and equipment, fuel assemblies and services to Areva's installed base.
The final stage in rebuilding the nuclear sector will correspond with the second capital increase of NewCo (the entity refocused on the fuel cycle), reserved for the Japanese companies MHI and JNFL, and expected to take place at the beginning of 2018.
