EDF: disposal of assets finalised in Poland.
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday morning EDF announced that it has finalised the sale of EDF Polska's assets (cogeneration and electricity generation) to PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA.
The transaction was completed based on a valuation of EDF Polska of around 6.1 billion zlotys (about 1.4 billion euros) for 100% of the group's scope. It will reduce EDF's net financial debt by around one billion euros.
This transaction is also part of EDF's plan for the sale of assets worth at least 10 billion euros over the period 2015/2020; the group has already sold assets worth around 8 billion euros.
It will also reduce the group's carbon footprint by around 23%.
