Eutelsat: commissioning of Eutelsat 7C satellite
(CercleFinance.com) - Eutelsat has announced the commissioning of the Eutelsat 7C satellite.
It is intended for clients in Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Turkey.
This satellite was built by Maxar Technologies. It is all-electric, weighs 3.4 tonnes and carries 49 Ku-band transponders, equivalent to 36 MHz. It was launched from Kourou, Guyana on 20 June 2019.
Eutelsat's teams have migrated several services from Eutelsat 7A to Eutelsat 7C, including the Turkish pay-TV platform Digiturk, the Turkish national broadcaster TRT and Globecast UK to cover Europe and the Middle East.
