Eutelsat: multi-year contract with Orao Telecom Congo
(CercleFinance.com) - Eutelsat announces that it has signed a multi-year contract with Orao Telecom Congo to provide capacity aboard a satellite located at 7° East, also marking the first contract in Africa for the subscription to the hybrid satellite/OTT Eutelsat CIRRUS solution.
Orao chose Eutelsat to launch, as from mid-December, a bouquet of 15 pay channels powered by Congolese content, including series, films, sports, children's programmes and reports.
This bouquet will be broadcast live (DTH) in the Democratic Republic of Congo, while Orao will also leverage the Eutelsat CIRRUS content delivery platform to offer an OTT service aimed at the Congolese diaspora worldwide.
