Eutelsat: multiple-launch contract with Arianespace
(CercleFinance.com) - At the World Satellite Business Week in Paris, Arianespace and Eutelsat Communications have announced the signing of a multi-launch, long-term service agreement, a contract that includes five launches by 2027.
With this agreement, the French satellite operator becomes the first commercial client to sign for a launch on Ariane 6, Arianespace's new generation of launchers, which are scheduled to be commissioned in 2020.
This new long-term commitment is part of the continuity of the contract signed in February 2013 and extended in 2017. These previous contracts already provide for the launch of three future satellites; Eutelsat 7c, Eutelsat Quantum and Konnect, on Ariane 5.
