(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced the successful delivery of the complete signalling system for the Putrajaya Rapid Transit (MRT) line, the second line of the Klang Valley MRT project in the Greater Kuala Lumpur region, Malaysia.

The second phase of the line covering 24 stations between Kentonmen and Putrajaya Sentral officially opened to the public yesterday.

The first phase operations, comprising 12 stations from Kwasa Damansara to Kampung Batu have already been delivered for passenger service in June 2022.

As part of its contract for this 57.7-kilometre Putrajaya line, Alstom was responsible for the design, installation, testing and commissioning of a communications-based train control (CBTC) system using its advanced Cityflo 650 solution, as well as on-board signalling equipment for the fleet of 49 trains and two maintenance vehicles.
