Alstom: makes FY loss with an asset impairment

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has published FY 2021-22 adjusted net profit of 268 million euros, before the impairment of its 20% stake in TMH.

Taking into account this impairment, the result came in at -173 million million euros, against a profit of 301 million euros the previous year.

Alstom's board of directors will propose a dividend of 0.25 euro per share at the group's next general shareholder meeting on 12 July, representing a payout ratio of 35% of adjusted net profit before the impairment of the stake in TMH.

The transport equipment manufacturer anticipates a gradual growth in its adjusted operating margin for 2022-23, and confirms its medium-term targets "Alstom in Motion 2025", with synergies that have been raised to 475-500 million euros from 2025-26.
