Alstom: wins contract for metro system in Taiwan

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom today says that its consortium with Taiwanese engineering services company CTCI has been awarded a contract to supply a state-of-the-art integrated metro system for phase two of the Taipei Circular Line.

The order, worth around 720 million euros, is for the city's fully automated metro line (automation level 4) and is the second turnkey metro project won by the consortium in Taiwan.

As part of the contract, Alstom, which has the lion's share (above 430 million euros), will also renew the signalling system for phase one of the line. The framework contract includes an option to supply the system for phase three of the line.
