Alstom: delivers first trainsets to southern France
(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday Alstom announced the delivery of its first two regional trainsets, the Coradia Polyvalent Régiolis, to the SNCF and the Région Sud in France,
These trainsets, chartered "Zou! Région Sud", are the first of 5 financed exclusively by the Region, for a total of over 40 million euros.
These 5 new dual-mode trains (electric and thermal) will reinforce the regional train fleet.
They have four carriages and a total seating capacity of 214, with unprecedented comfort for regional lines: seats equipped with individual reading lights and electrical sockets, areas for bicycles and luggage, large bay windows and reduced noise and vibration levels.
