Alstom: proposals to Brussels to complete Bombardier deal
(CercleFinance.com) - In response to Brussels' initial concerns about its proposed acquisition of Bombardier Transportation, Alstom, in coordination with Bombardier Inc.
and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, has made a number of commitments.
In particular, these include a transfer of Bombardier Transport's contribution for the V300 ZEFIRO very high speed train, as well as the divestiture of Alstom's Coradia Polyvalent and the Reichshoffen production site in France.
The proposed commitments are subject to approval by the European Commission. Alstom believes that the acquisition of Bombardier Transportation remains on track for a closing in the first half of 2021.
