Alstom: E350m contract for Sydney metro

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom will provide driverless trains and a digital signalling system for the extension of Sydney's metro towards City and Southwest.

The contract is worth approximately 350 million euros.

NRT is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the complete Rouse Hill metro line in Bankstown - a total of 66 kilometres of rail, with 31 metro stations by 2024.

Alstom will manage, design, supply, manufacture, test and commission 23 fully automated six-wagon Metropolis trains and the Urbalis 400 Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling system.
