Alstom: inaugurates new welding robot in Creusot
(CercleFinance.com) - At its plant in Le Creusot, Alstom has inaugurated the highest-capacity welding robot in the railway sector.
It is developed and produced by the supplier Farman, a subsidiary of the Galilé group that is specialised in robotic installations.
This investment in innovation of over one million euros is aligned with the development strategy for the Alstom site in Le Creusot.
This site works on structuring railway projects such as the new-generation RER or Avelia Horizon and the fifth generation of TGV.
About thirty projects are currently being developed and manufactured on the site. This new welding robot will meet this strong activity by reducing manufacturing time.
