Alstom: contract for line 7 of Taipei metro

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom and CTCI, a Taiwanese services company, announce that they have won a contract to provide an integrated metro system for phase one of Taipei Metro Line 7, which is also known as the “Wanda Zhonghe Shulin Line.


This contract is worth a total of 378 million euros, with Alstom's share amounting to nearly 220 million euros. Phase one covers 9.5 km with nine stations, linking Taipei to New Taipei City Zhonghe District and the Tuchen District in 15 minutes.

Alstom will supply 19 Metropolis trains, the Urbalis CBTC automated signaling system, the control and data acquisition system (SCADA) as well as landing doors. It will work with CTCI on project management and the system's integration.
