Alstom: to build Lagos metro in Nigeria
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced the signature of a contract to build the Blue Line of the Lagos metro in Nigeria.
Alstom will ensure the supply of electricity of part of the line, with a third rail and sub-stations. After phase 1, Alstom will supply the metro wagons, the CBTC signalling, the operation and control centre, services for traveller information and the ticketing system at stations.
Once complete, the blue line will spread over 27 km with 13 stations from Okokomaiko to Marina. Phase 1 and Phase 2 of this line will cover a distance of 12 km; 4 km over a viaduct and 5 stations.
