Alstom: contract for PMM consortium in Montréal
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced the signing by its consortium group partners for mobility of Montreal residents (PMM), of an agreement with CDPQ Infra for the provision of a comprehensive automated light and driverless metro system in Montreal.
This contract, which includes rolling stock and signalling, as well as operating services and maintenance (REM), aims to implement the project of the Metro express network. It amounts to approximately 1.8 billion euros, including 1.4 billion euros for Alstom.
In particular, Group PMM will provide 212 Metropolis-type metro carriages, as well as Alstom's automated and driverless CBTC Urbalis 400 solutions. The first segment of the REM is scheduled to enter into commercial service in the summer of 2021.
