Alstom Siemens: appoints Chairman for Board of Directors
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens and Alstom have reached a merger agreement between Alstom and Siemens' mobility business, including its rail traction business.
Today Alstom and Siemens have also announced the names of the leaders of the future Siemens Alstom Board of Directors. Siemens plans to propose the appointment of Roland Busch, a member of Siemens AG's Management Board, as Chairman of the merged entity's Board of Directors. Mr Busch will perform this role in addition to his duties at Siemens AG.
Yann Delabrière, who is currently Lead Director on Alstom's Board of Directors, is to be nominated Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors as an independent director. This announcement comes after the 26 September 2017 announcement that Henri Poupart-Lafarge will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer and member of the future entity's Board of Directors.
