Alstom: towards an order of 100 TGV
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom is delighted with the announcement made today by Bruno Le Maire concerning the order of 100 TGV of the future, the French railway equipment supplier said yesterday on its Twitter account.
Yesterday at a press conference, the Minister of the Economy (with the State being the sole owner of the SNCF, the operator of TGV trains) said that such an order would be made to Alstom at the end of June.
At the list price, a new generation TGV trainset is sold at around 25 million to 30 million euros. This means a total 2.5 billion to 3 billion euros for the group, whose order book amounted to 32.8 billion euros at the end of December (approximately 67 billion euros for the future Siemens Alstom project).
