Alstom: signs two contracts in China

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom and its joint ventures in China, SATEE and CASCO, have been awarded two contracts by Chengdu Railway Corp.
Ltd., we learned this Thursday.

These contracts concern the supply of traction systems for 200 metro carriages, as well as a CBTC signaling system for the entire Line 9 phase 1 of the Chengdu metro, the city's first driverless metro line.

When it opens, this line will be approximately 22 kilometres long and will have 11 stations. It will link the city's business district (southeast) to the west railway station, on the northwest side of the city.

These two contracts are worth approximately 64 million euros in all, with the line set to begin operating at the end of 2020.
