Alstom: has shipped an order for the Lima metro.
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced that it has dispatched the first metro for the additional line 1 of the Lima metro.
Alstom signed a contract with Graña y Montero Ferrovías in 2016 to order 20 new subway trains and 39 carriages to develop the line 1 fleet.
Line 1 of the Lima metro stretches over 34 km and has 26 stations. Passenger numbers - which have been increasing since the line opened in 2011 - are currently around 320,000 per day.
