Alstom: inauguration of a metro in India.
(CercleFinance.com) - In a press release today Alstom reported that for the Lucknow Metro (India), it has inaugurated the company's first ever project in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The trainsets are designed in Bangalore and manufactured at the Sricity and Coimbatore plants, in line with the Indian government's "Make in India" campaign.
The event was attended by Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and the Chief of the Uttar Pradesh Region, Shri Yogi Adityanath.
In September 2015, the French transport giant won this contract, which is worth 150 million euros, under which LRMC entrusted it with the supply of 20 trainsets, each consisting of 4 carriages.
