Alstom: 6% sales growth in Q1.
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced Q1 2017/18 sales (from 1 April to 30 June 2017) of 1.
9 billion euros, up 6% as reported (+5% in organic terms).
Amongst other things, sales included the delivery of regional trains in France and Sweden, high-speed trains in France and Italy, as well as progress in the metro of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
The transport equipment supplier won new orders amounting to 1.9 billion euros over the first three months of the year, compared to 0.9 billion euros over the same period last year, bringing its order backlog to 34 billion euros at 30 June 2017.
