Alstom: wins contract in Los Angeles.
(CercleFinance.com) - After the market closed on Tuesday Alstom announced winning a contract worth over 130 million euros from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO).
This contract relates to the mid-life revision of 52 P2000 light rail vehicles circulating on the Blue, Green and Expo lines of the megalopolis of California.
The French transport giant said that this contract includes the update of major systems, such as propulsion, the HVAC system, automatic control of trains, auxiliary power supply, the control of brakes, communication systems, doors and bogies. It added that this review will enable METRO to maintain its fleet in service for at least 15 years, while improving its comfort, availability and reliability.
