Alstom: metro line enters commercial service in China.
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announced on Friday that China's Chengdu Metro line 4 has entered into commercial service today.
The French transport giant Alstom has supplied the OptONIX traction system to the entire Line 4.
With the opening of Chengdu Line 4 phase two of Line 4, Alstom has supplied the traction system for a total of 324 metro cars, following two contracts awarded by Chengdu Metro Group Co. Ltd. in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
The OptONIX system has particularly designed and developed for the Chinese market. It includes traction inverters, motors, auxiliary converters and a supervision system of trains.
