Engie: finances two photovoltaic projects in Senegal

(CercleFinance.com) - Engie and its partners Meridiam and Fonsis have signed contracts to finance two photovoltaic projects in Senegal, which will generate total power of 60 MW.


In all, the total investment amounts to 47.5 million euros, financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), the International Financial Corporation (IFC) and Proparco.

Both projects are part of the Scaling Solar Program in Senegal.
Both Engie and Meridiam will each hold a 40% stake in project companies. The sovereign sovereign fund of Senegal, Fonsis, will also be a shareholder of the remaining 20%.
