Engie: partners Sumitomo in two offshore windfarm projects
(CercleFinance.com) - Engie and EDPR announce that they are joining forces with Sumitomo Corporation, one of the largest Japanese industrial groups and a long-time partner of Engie, to develop their wind projects offshore in Yeu-Noirmoutier and Dieppe-Le Tréport.
Through this alliance, Sumitomo will acquire a 29.5% equity stake of these projects, bringing to the consortium its proven and complementary expertise in the development, construction and operation of offshore wind projects.
However, Engie remains the reference shareholder, with a 31% stake and the first industrial player in the two projects of 496 MW each, in partnership with EDPR (29.5%) and La Banque des Territoires (Groupe Caisse des Dépôts, 10%).
