Engie: agenda for nuclear revisions modified in Belgium
(CercleFinance.com) - Engie has announced that, at the request of the AFCN and after dialogue with it, its subsidiary Electrabel has decided to revise the schedule of planned actions on the nuclear plants of Tihange 2 and Doel 4, while changing the end date for the ongoing revision of Tihange 3.
These revisions represent the equivalent of over seven cumulative additional months of non-operation for a second-generation tranche in 2018, representing a shortfall of approximately 250 million euros on EBITDA and recurrent net profit for the group.
Engie has decided to implement a specific action plan to reduce the effects on its financial performance in 2018. Moreover, it is confident in its ability to significantly reduce the impact of the unavailability of nuclear facilities.
