Engie: takes stake in Tabreed.
(CercleFinance.com) - Engie has announced that it has acquired a 40% stake in Tabreed, hence becoming one of the company's key shareholders, 42% of which is owned by the Abu Dhabi investment company Mubadala.
The transaction is of course subject to regulatory approval.
The energy group and Mubadala have also entered into cooperation agreements to support Tabreed's development, which will become one of Engie's main development platforms for cooling networks in the region.
Tabreed offers air conditioning solutions for major infrastructure projects in the United Arab Emirates and Gulf Cooperation Council member States.
