Cafom: wants to sell subsidiary Habitat

(CercleFinance.com) - Specialist in home decoration and improvement, Cafom has decided to sell its subsidiary Habitat.

This decision is part of Cafom Group's desire to refocus on the operation of franchises in French overseas territories (But, Darty and Habitat to date) and e-commerce sites (Vente-unique.com and DirectLowCost.com).

Cafom has decided to grant exclusivity in discussions and negotiations to Mr. Thierry Le Guénic. Thierry Le Guénic's offer will be subject to an information and consultation procedure with staff representative bodies.

Habitat has 34 directly-operated stores (26 in France, 1 in Monaco, 5 in Spain and 2 in Switzerland), 3 e-commerce sites (France, Spain and Belgium) and about thirty franchised stores worldwide.

As at 30 September 2019, the Habitat division generated annual revenues of around 100 million euros.
