Trigano: victim of a cyber-attack for ransom
(CercleFinance.com) - This week Trigano has been the victim of a cyber attack by individuals who demanded the payment of a ransom, in an operation which, the motorhome manufacturer said, did not result in the theft of personal data.
The attack, which blocked some of the company's servers, nevertheless forced several of its business units in France, Italy, Spain and Germany to slow down or even stop production.
Trigano says it has mandated a team of experts to assess and deal with the consequences of the attack, although which does not appear to have reached the data in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
Production at the subsidiaries affected by the incident should gradually resume next week, thanks to the implementation of back-up applications that allow them to work in a secure manner, in parallel with the investigations necessary for the complete restoration of systems.
Trigano says that the operating losses resulting from this attack are covered by the cybercrime risk insurance policy that it took out.
Whatever they say, the Trigano share is down about 2% on Friday morning in Paris.
