Bourbon: chosen for 3 floating windfarms
(CercleFinance.com) - Bourbon Subsea Services announces having been selected by Windplus for the installation of three 8.
3 MW floating wind turbines - the most powerful ever installed - 20 km from Viana do Castelo, on the Portuguese coast.
The contract covers project management, engineering and the supply of the complete anchorage system (provided by Vryhof), a three-line wind system that will initially be pre-installed.
Bourbon will provide all the necessary marine assets for different operations, including AHTS barges, tugs and underwater robots. It will work closely with WindPlus, Vryhof and Principle Power, the designer of the floats.
