Valneva: second generation vaccine project revived
(CercleFinance.com) - Valneva's shares are up on Monday morning in Paris after the company provided an update on activities related to its Covid-19 vaccine.
In a statement, the company said that it is currently in discussions with a potential partner for financing that could enable it to invest in the development of a second generation vaccine.
With the end of the quarter fast approaching, Valneva - which is not disclosing the identity of its contact - says it is in "active" discussions that will likely continue over the coming months.
The vaccine specialist acknowledges, however, that these talks may not result in a deal.
