Valneva: trial to assess Covid vaccine
(CercleFinance.com) - Valneva yesterday announced the start of a clinical trial to evaluate its inactivated whole virus COVID-19 vaccine candidate, VLA2001, as a heterologous booster.
This will be the first clinical trial to provide booster data with VLA2001 in people who have either been primed with an mRNA vaccine or have been naturally infected with Covid-19.
If positive, the data could support the potential use of VLA2001 as a booster vaccine, subject to regulatory approval and guidance.
