Iliad: Oddo a buyer; expects 'premiumisation' in market
(CercleFinance.com) - In a report published on Wednesday morning, an analyst at Oddo BHF confirms his "buy" rating on the Iliad share, with a target price of 300 euros, suggesting huge upside potential of around 139%.
Oddo BHF appreciates the figures announced by the forum “Univers Freebox” regarding Freeboxes; i.e. 45,000 Delta and One boxes sold in 10 days, considering them "coherent and encouraging". However, these are unofficial figures, which Iliad has not commented on, seem plausible, as the analyst points out. To find them, editors of the Free community's reference site have noted that the number of purchase orders increased on each new registration. Orders for the Freebox Revolution and Crystal have different order numbers, which enables new boxes to be traced.
Oddo BHF notes that these new boxes have had their share of positive comments but also a lot of bad ones - particularly regarding their price, which was expected. Free has also slightly adjusted its migration policy, which was not appreciated, along with costs of setting boxes up (...). Moreover - and this is good news for the whole sector, Orange has followed suit behind Free on home automation and connected speakers, once again paving the way for premiumisation of part of the market. The market has hailed this launch, which seems to be going well and there is a string of good news on the fixed telephony segment in France - particularly with less special offers in Q4.
