Iliad: Free unveils its new 'Delta' box
(CercleFinance.com) - Free, subsidiary of Iliad group, this morning presented its new "Delta" Freebox; this clearly marks a change in the group's pricing strategy for the group that previously upset the telecoms sector.
Indeed, more used to cutting prices than taking an upmarket position, the company will invoice its latest box at 49.99 euros per month, to which it will add 10 euros monthly rental for the "player" that accompanies it for 48 months - or 480 euros to order. That said, the proposed features match the price requested: TV by Canal and Netflix included, 10G fiber technology, a Devialet speaker, xDSL + 4G aggregated, personal assistant, touch remote control, etc.
Free is therefore managing to maintain its historical technological line of conduct, i.e. offering products that are resolutely innovative relative to its competitors. The Delta Freebox is scheduled to be available in the next few days, with pre-orders already open.
The market hailed these releases, with the Iliad share bubbling - up 4,5% towards lunchtime on Tuesday.
