Orpea: net income up 11.6%
(CercleFinance.com) - Rest home operator Orpea's 2019 revenue increased 9.
4% to 3,740.2 million euros, supported by solid organic growth of +4.7% and several international acquisitions, particularly September and Allerzorg (Netherlands) and Axion (Germany), consolidated as from 1 January 2019.
EBITDAR (EBITDA before rents) increased by 7.8% to 982.5 million euros, meaning a margin of 26.3%.
Underlying operating income came in at 452.5 million euros (+5.8%) after depreciation and provisions of 198.5 million euros (+12.9%), reflecting the increase in property assets. Net income, group share amounted to 245.9 million euros, up 11.6%.
As of January 2020 Orpea's network now has 104,234 beds spread over 1,014 establishments in 22 countries.
