Orange: successful sustainable bond issue
(CercleFinance.com) - Orange announces that it has successfully launched a 500 million euro sustainable bond issue to finance projects that reflect its ambitions in both the environmental and social fields.
For this issue, the telecom operator intends to devote around 50% of the funds raised to digital and social inclusion projects and around 50% of the funds to projects related to energy efficiency and the circular economy.
This bond issue, with a 10-year maturity and an annual coupon of 2.375%, was oversubscribed to more than five times, enabling Orange to broaden its investor base and continue to proactively manage its funding structure.
Orange shares are currently up 0.8%, highly respectable performance in a downbeat market in Paris (-2.5%).
