Orange: pens 5-year deal with Ericsson

(CercleFinance.com) - Ericsson announced today that it has signed a five-year agreement with Orange France that will make Ericsson Charging the strategic monetisation platform for Orange France's 5G subscribers.

The Ericsson Charging solution will enable Orange France to provide new levels of digital interaction and experience to its customers, coupled with unique 5G offerings.

The standards-based, cloud-native solution will serve Orange France's approximately 28 million customers, roaming and private users, as well as the 20 million IoT devices running on Ericsson Cloud Native Infrastructure Solution (CNIS).

Ericsson Charging will be integrated with the former B2C and B2B billing platforms, resulting in cost optimisation and agility across Orange operations.

Doesn't seem much of a big deal in the market's eyes though - in mid-afternoon trading Orange shares are up just a fraction (+0.2%), while Ericsson shares are down about 1.4%.
