Orange: successful first sustainable bond issue
(CercleFinance.com) - Orange has announced the success of its first 500 million sustainable bond issue.
This loan will finance environmental and social projects.
For this first issue, Orange intends to devote about 40% of the funds raised to digital and social inclusion projects and about 60% of the funds to projects relating to energy efficiency and the circular economy.
Ramon Fernandez, Deputy CEO and Executive Director Finance, Performance and Development, said, " As the Covid-19 crisis highlighted the essential nature of telecommunications, we feel necessary to drive our business with the objective to contribute to a more sustainable and fair world".
