Orange: signs loan with EIB
(CercleFinance.com) - Orange announces it has signed a loan of 700 million euros with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance part of the deployment of the network of Very High Speed in France in areas AMII areas (Call for expression of interest in investments).
"These areas, defined in 2011, are those where population density and digital mesh are considered intermediate, usually urban areas outside very dense areas," Orange said.
A first drawdown of 350 million euros took place on Friday and the remaining part of the loan will be made available during the first quarter of 2020. This funding will partially finance the completion of the deployment of Orange networks in the AMII zone.
