Orange: prepares carve-out of mobile towers
(CercleFinance.com) - According to the Financial Times, Orange is preparing to split its mobile towers into a separate company, with
the French incumbent operator will update the market on its plans at an investor day on 4 December.
The share is up over 2% this morning in Paris.
The group has 59,000 telecom towers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, including 15,000 in France.
In doing so, former France Telecom would be "capitalising on investor interest in telecoms infrastructure in a move that could boost the French group's valuation by more than 10 billion euros," writes the FT.
